The Hampton Beach Seafood Festival

The Hampton Beach Seafood Festival is so important that many area businesses such as retailers, owners of lodging places, and restaurants count on the heightened attendance every year to help them meet their bottom line. Even non-profit organizations that are devoted to many forms of charitable causes rely on the revenues they stand to earn from the Hampton Beach Seafood Festival to keep operating every year. This event is also considered one way of making the summer season seem to last longer than it actually does.

Other Events

Other events which the community and visitors look forward to are the Fourth of July celebrations (complete with fireworks), the children's festival, and the Hampton Beach Master Sand Sculpting Competition. Fireworks are also set off during Wednesdays in the summer at exactly 9:30 in the evening.

Resorts, Hotels and Casinos

The Hampton Beach village and beach resort district can be found in the town of Hampton, within Rockingham County just around 15 miles away from Portsmouth. At present, it is the busiest among the New Hampshire beach communities, with tourists heavily favoring it as a vacation destination. One reason people come to Hampton Beach are the various national acts which are hosted by the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in the hot summer. There are also some pretty good hotels in the area which operate from season to season.
