Getting to Lena Beach

Fortunately, Juneau happens to be the capital city of the state of Alaska, which makes looking for tiny Lena Beach a whole lot easier. You can start by driving to any of the points of departure of the ferry service of the Alaska Marine Highway System, namely: Skagway, Alaska; Haines, Alaska; B.C.; Prince Rupert; Washington; and Bellingham.

Flying to Lena Beach

If you prefer to fly to Juneau, then have your travel agent book you a seat on Alaska Airlines, which is the major airline that uses that route departing from Seattle and Anchorage. There are also some more minor carriers which fly to Juneau too.

Taking a Cruise Ship to Lena Beach

If you would like to take your time getting to Juneau, you might want to use the small cruise ships or larger cruise lines which will provide you a comfortable trip by sea to Alaska, and then Juneau too.

Bringing an RV

Juneau itself has roads which may not permit the entry or access to huge vehicles such as RVs. So if you are planning to bring along your large vehicle on the ferry service, better think twice. You can always use public transportation instead.

For those who hanker after home-cooked meals, you can try for a room at the Annie Mae Lodge. The Lodge will also help you get to participate in activities at nearby attractions such as the Good River and Glacier Bay (as well as other wilderness spots.) If you want accommodations that are quite near the State Office Building, the Juneau Convention Center, and the Alaska State Museum, ask for either suites or sizeable rooms at the Prospector Hotel.

Salt Water Fishing

If you dig saltwater fishing, you can try booking a slot at the Anytime Charters, Big Jim’s Charters, or Alaskan Bear Yacht Charters so you can get your chance to try sportsfishing

for popular species such as halibut or salmon. It is also possible to try fly and freshwater fishing instead at certain nearby rivers, lakes and streams.
